Name: Hamish:
Species: Velociraptor. (Based on the not-so-realistically-portrayed raptors from the Jurassic Park universe.)
Appearance: 6ft tall, 16ft long. Big teeth. Big.
Gender: Large male.
Age: He's been bounced around over millions of years to and fro, but Hamish is actually only a young adult.
Marks: Faint tooth marks at either side of his spine, from an attack made on him when he was young.
Communication: Hamish's brain implant is something similar to the talking dog collar worn by Dug in the movie Up. It 'speaks' in a similar way, and will eventually help Hamish communicate more, as his vocabulary grows.
Implants can be seen. They present as smooth silver-metal plates set into his tough skin, but have fine tendrils which bore deep into the body and the target organs or bones.
- One is in his spine and compensates for the irregularities he was left with.
- The second is at the back of his head and reaches into his brain.
The implants contain some clever demonic tech-magery, which connects Hamish's brain to a micro organic supercomputer. This enables him to learn, over time, how to communicate verbally, how to think, how to reason, and problem-solve... canonically, raptors already do this but with an implant, it's enhanced.

All the ingredients for intelligent sentient life. However, neither implant can ever be removed without killing Hamish. Because the implants are partly buried into Hamish's body, they can only be seen as two smooth silver metal plates. I can't icon these!

Personality Basic and animal. Hamish spent most of his implant years being poked about and experimented on. This has made him distrustful of all beings who are not angels (not that he can tell without the wings guys - until he knows your pup) or who's not able to psychically connect with him.

He's a raptor so he's a bit pissy. Any real personality will have to grow from CR. Hamish's kind tend to operate in packs, so he'll accept an Alpha figure.

If you fetch Phoenix Kaelen (ashes_acended) Hamish will know and trust him, so that could prove useful. Or even Vahlmir Ravenhead (twofold_psyche) who is a powerful psychic god and can mind-control most any animal.

(There's a lot the Jurassic Park/World movies got 'wrong' I know, but I don't care. I just want to see a great adventure. So yeah, any character bleating on about inaccuracy will be eaten put down with the 'you have a lot to learn about alternate realities' line. Also, yes Cretaceous. I KNOW THIS. LEAVE IT ALONE.)
